Chopwood MCP

Your work, in your
AI conversation.

Connect your preferred AI app to Chopwood to find contacts and companies, move projects forward, and keep your task list current. Ask a question or request a change in the same conversation.

MCP is the connection that lets an AI app work with your Chopwood records.

Connect your AI app

Add Chopwood once. Sign in with Google to allow access.

Use this URL in your AI app’s connector setup.

Available controls depend on your Claude plan and organization settings. If you cannot add a connector, ask your organization Owner.

Check your connection

Before your first change, confirm your profile, workspace and allowed access.

Which Chopwood profile am I connected to, and what can this connection do?

Instructions checked September 12, 2026. Available features and account requirements vary by provider.

Find the right record

Search contacts, companies, projects, and your tasks. Open the matching record in Chopwood.

Keep work moving

Create and update records, project stages and investor leads. Add notes, and complete or reopen your tasks.

Get a useful report

Summarize projects, pipeline progress, and task status using the records you can access.

Changes use the same access and record rules as Chopwood. A connection does not add team permissions.

Try it on your work

Example prompts. Names and records below are fictional; replace them with your own.

Find a relationship

Find Maya Chen at Northstar Labs. Show me the matching contact and company, with links to Chopwood.

Start a project

Create a project named “Partner launch” in my “Partnerships” pipeline. Description: “Coordinate the launch plan with Northstar Labs.” Show me the saved project.

Capture an update

Add this note to the “Partner launch” project: “Launch outline reviewed. Next step: confirm the attendee list.” Show me the saved note.

Update an investor lead

Find Maya Chen’s investor lead in my “Seed raise” pipeline. Change its stage to soft commit and recorded amount to USD 25,000. Show me the saved result.

Keep your task list current

Add “Review the partner launch outline” to my Chopwood task list. Show me the saved task.

See pipeline progress

Summarize the projects I can access by stage. Tell me what data you included and link to the records.

Add a company and contact

Check whether Northstar Labs and Maya Chen already exist. If they don’t, add the company and a contact named Maya Chen linked to it. Show me what was saved.

Review pipeline figures

Summarize the recorded amounts by stage for the “Seed raise” pipeline. Show the calculation, flag missing values, and link to the records.

Close the loop

Find my task “Review the partner launch outline” and mark it complete. Show me the saved result.

What can the connection do?

These actions follow your existing Chopwood access.

ContactsSearch, read, create and update contacts and their supported details.
CompaniesSearch, read, create and update companies; add notes and links.
ProjectsSearch and read; create in an accessible project pipeline; update stages and properties; add notes and links.
Your tasksRead, add, rename, complete and reopen your personal tasks; link supported contacts, companies and pipelines.
FundraisingRead, add and update investor leads in accessible fundraising pipelines; update recorded amounts and next steps.
ReportsCRM coverage, project progress, business development value, fundraising, portfolio, your tasks, and recent project activity. Reports identify their scope, filters, calculations, missing values and source records.

A saved result is the confirmation. After a change, ask your app for the saved record and its Chopwood link. If several records match, choose the intended one before changing it. If Chopwood cannot confirm a save, check the record before trying again.

No bulk changes, deletion, team permission changes, email sending or Google data access are included.

Connection help and technical details

Use the same server URL in an app that supports remote MCP connections with OAuth sign-in. Choose Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or Grok above for instructions. If your app’s controls look different, use its linked setup guide.

Can’t sign in?

Choose a Google account already verified for your Chopwood profile. If you need access or another identity, ask your workspace owner. An owner-added address must be verified before it can sign in.

Connection expired or cancelled?

Return to your AI app and connect Chopwood again. If access was removed, ask your workspace owner before retrying. Reconnect with read and write access if a read-only connection cannot save a change.

Getting started

Check my Chopwood profileget_my_context

Identify the Google identity, existing Chopwood profile, home workspace and permitted operations for this connection. Start here before writing. Discover existing contact/company custom field keys and types, paging with field_offset when needed. Personal tasks belong to this profile; team titles do not grant extra access.

Read
Search Chopwood recordssearch_records

Find contacts, companies, projects, pipelines and your personal tasks by name or contact email. Results distinguish records with stable IDs, links and pipeline resource keys. Never choose an ambiguous result for a write. Truncated results require a narrower search or a paginated list tool.

Contacts

List contactslist_contacts

List live contacts in your home workspace. Search name, primary email, company, title, notes or tags. Results are bounded and show continuation.

Read
Get contactget_contact

Get a bounded contact overview with exact field/custom/email/tag continuations. Follow returned next_request for full long values and retain revision/content hash. Login identities are separate.

Read
Create contactcreate_contact

Create one contact after checking existing email and name matches. Specify company_id explicitly to associate an existing company; never creates a company implicitly.

Add or remove one alternate CRM email. Does not change primary email or Google login identities. Removing a primary address is rejected.

Create or update

Create or update

Companies

List companieslist_companies

List live companies in your home workspace, optionally matching a name/domain or classification.

Read

Read
Read a pipeline and its field definitionsget_pipeline

Get pipeline details, stages and editable project property definitions. Fundraising amounts and targets use whole USD dollars.

Read

Projects

List projects in a pipelinelist_projects

Search live projects in one authorized pipeline. Results are ordered by record ID; follow next_cursor for all matches.

Read
Read a projectget_project

Read a bounded overview with explicit content and collection completeness. Follow next_request for exact long fields, custom values, definitions and relationship pages. section="field" returns text or JSON chunks; concatenate field text in offset order (UTF-16 units), then decode JSON when encoding="json". Retain expected_revision and expected_content_hash from next_request. Limits: overview 10 items per section, collections 25 items, field chunks 20000 code units. Each page rechecks access.

Read
